Mirco is an outdoor excursionist guide who has been living and guiding in Catania for the past 5 years. Originally from northern Italy, but of Sicilian roots, Mirco decided to move back to his ancestral homeland after university, and has stayed there ever since.
With a deep love for his island and a focus on undiscovered, and often almost entirely unvisited places, Mirco is the perfect guide for anyone looking to get off the beaten path and into Sicily's charming little towns and villages.
And if you're ready for a break from urban life, Mirco also specializes in nature-based tours in the parks, forests, and wild beaches of eastern Sicily.

"Hi guys, I'm Mirco! I'm a licensed Tour Leader and hiking guide, based in Catania.
I normally lead walking tours in my city and excursions to the naturalistic areas in eastern Sicily. I’ve been doing walking tours for about 5 years now and have explored about every corner of my region.
I was born in Milan, but my parents are Sicilian. Being day-by-day more and much more interested in my region, at the age of 24 I decided to come back to my origins and to live here.
Like yourselves, I am also a traveler! I can regularly be found traveling around Sicily and shooting documentaries about each area I visit.
I enjoy producing short videos about the towns, cities, and natural areas throughout Sicily so that I can share them with Italians and the wider world and give some insight into what life is like in Sicily. Becaue of these videos, I am becoming fairly well known here, especially for my efforts to showcase less-visited towns and regions of this wonderful island.
In my opinion Sicily has so many incredible places to visit and I think you should really take at least a week, but ideally two or more, to really enjoy it. This land is incredibly diverse, so much so thatsome people define Sicily as a continent.
We have amazing beaches, beautiful towns, incredible naturalistic and archeological areas, all in a small and managable space. And of course, as I'm sure you know, Sicily is worldwide famous for its terrific food distinct from the rest of Italy and which changes signficantly from the east to the west side.
With so much to see, do, and eat here, there's something for every traveler. If you're looking for some help planning your holiday here, reach out and let's see what we can come up with together!"
