Explore Campania

Rugged Campania stretches south from the border with Lazio down to Calabria, the "toe" of Italy's "boot". It's bordered by the Tyrrhenian sea to its west and the regions of Basilicata, Puglia, and Molise on the east.

Like many of Italy's poorer southern regions, millions of her native sons and daughters have long sought opportunity abroad, immigrating en masse to places like the USA, Canada, Australia, and Argentina. For visitors with Italian heritage, it's fairly likely that this is where your ancestors are from!

Although best known for the Amalfi Coast, Naples, and Pompeii, the entire Campania region is rich in cultural, historical, and archaeological heritage and there is much to see all over. Royal palaces in Caserta, ancient hilltop monasteries, wild natural parks, and only half-discovered Roman ruins are just the start.
