About
This is a full-day excursion to the pearls of western Sicily, an area home to some of the island's most remarkable landscapes.
We leave Palermo in the morning and make our way to the Elymian archaeological site of Segesta which boasts a Doric temple and an ancient Theater.
From here, we'll take a scenic drive to the hilltop medieval village of Erice where we’ll enjoy the greatest view over the whole of western Sicily. In town, we can admire the majestic Castle of Venus and get lost in the maze of narrow cobbled streets.
We end the day at the fascinating Saltpans of Nubia (near to Trapani) and enjoy sunset among the windmills and the piles of white sea salt.
We'll return to Palermo in the late afternoon.
