About
Let's spend an amazing day strolling around the most impressive spots of southern Tuscany. Our goal on this tour is to enjoy the region's nature, art, great local food, and some of Italy's best wine!
We'll start the day outside the town of Montalcino, driving, enjoying a stroll and fabulous views, and making some interesting stops along the ancient Via Francigena pilgrim's route, which is now a section of interconnected roads and gravel paths.
Around lunch time, we'll stop at our first vineyard of the day, a small family-run winery that is one of my favorite hidden gems of the area. Here, we'll have a private tour of the grounds and facilities and then a light lunch, accompanied by a wine tasting of some excellent Brunello wines and other varietals.
After lunch we'll walk off the calories with a leisurely stroll around Montalcino's cute historic center, built centuries ago and protected by an awesome fortress.
From here, we'll drive into the hills en route to our second and last winery for another private tour and tasting.
Following the last tasting, we'll cruise back to your hotel (or wherever you'd like to be dropped off) through the vineyards and rolling fields.
*Please note: Serena's vehicle can accommodate up to 4 participants. For groups of 5-8, she can arrange for a driver and luxury minivan at an additional cost of $550 USD. If you have a group of more than 4, please send Serena a message.
Tours can begin from your accommodation in the area around Montepulciano, Pienza, and Montichiello. For pick-up and drop-off in other areas, please reach out for a price quote.
