Ciao a tutti! I'm Gianluca, a native son of Sicily born and raised in the island's western hills.
I've been a guide for about a decade now, a career that I chose because of a lifelong interest in culture, history, and archaeology. And here, in a land that has been at the crossroads of civilizations for thousands of years, there's nowhere better to explore the Mediterranean's unique place in history.
I truly love what I do, in large part because as a guide, I have the pleasure of exploring my island every day together with curious and likeminded travelers who share my innate desire to always keep learning. I hold a degree in cultural anthropology and ethnology, and my primary goal is always to share our traditions, history, and culture with my guests. In Sicily, we see our traditions as something precious, and I take great pride in sharing them with travelers!
I’m also qualified in art history, architecture, and geography, so I try to bring a varied lens to every tour, weaving all of that together in a way that helps visitors better understand my island and gain a deeper appreciation for just how varied and diverse this place is.
I primarily guide in Western Sicily (from Palermo to Agrigento), but I'm also available for the occasional jaunt eastward as well as multi-day tours encompassing the entire island. I’d love to help you make your time here memorable and meaningful, so get in touch and let’s plan a wonderful visit!
I hope to see you in Sicily! A presto!

Gianluca is a wonderful guide. Not only is he pleasant and patient, he has an encyclopedic knowledge of pertinent history, and he also can speak knowledgeably of politics and the local flora. We were so impressed with him that we tried to rebook him, but alas, he is obviously too popular. Not unimportant, he is a very good and safe driver on top of all his other qualities.
