About
This is a full-day excursion in the area of the Madonie Mountains.
We start the day with a lovely coastal drive rom Palermo to Cefalù. Once in town, we'll start our visit at the majestic Norman Cathedral and then explore the medieval old village that stretches along the ancient megalithic walls and overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea.
In the afternoon we leave Cefalù and head inland towards the Madonie Mountains. Here, we'll visit the village of Castelbuono that is towered over by its medieval Castle. As we wander, we'll stop to taste the unique local pastries based on "Manna" (ash sap).
We'll return to Palermo in the late afternoon.
