About
On this tour we combine two of Sicily's crown jewels; majestic Mount Etna and the elegant clifftop town of Taormina.
We'll start the day by driving to Etna where we'll spend the morning exploring by car and on foot. We'll drive to the Rifugio Sapienza entrance, passing by the "crateri silvestri" craters, dense forest, groves of citrus fruit, pears, apples, cherries and more, lunar landscapes, and some of the most stunning and unique scenery in Sicily.
Once at Rifugio Sapienza, if you'd like we can extend our walk to 2900 meters, either by foot with a licensed volcano guide, by cable car, or in a 4x4 vehicle.
When we're done at Etna, we'll hop in the car and make our way to Taormina. We'll explore the town on foot, walking down the central Corso Umberto street, visiting places like the famed Greek theater, Palazzo Corvaja, and the Odeon archaeological site.
We'll also be sure to dip down to lower Taormina to appreciate the magnificent beach and seascape.
Pick-up and drop-off anywhere between Noto and Catania can be accommodated.
