This is my "classic" Florence walk and I think it functions as a great orientation tour to the city. It's great for those who will be visiting the museums and Duomo on their own or who just want to appreciate Florence's unique Renaissance beauty in the city itself as opposed to inside and through curated collections of art. And that's what we'll do!
Over the course of about 3 hours, we'll weave and meander through the city's historic center, covering both famous places and secret little corners. We'll of course stop in all the big squares: Piazza del Duomo, Piazza Repubblica, Piazza della Signoria, and Piazza Santa Croce. We'll also take a stroll down Ponte Vecchio and a whole host of charming avenues and side streets.
My tours are always flexible, so if you include a note on any specific interests you have, I'll be happy to tailor our route. And if you'd like to stop to try some local treats, that always a [tasty] option!
