About
Every visitor to Florence must see the Florentine Duomo, consecrated to Saint Mary of the Flowers, with it's incredible dome, created by the genius of Filippo Brunelleschi thanks to an innovative technique still unknown in modern times.
So, to start the tour, let's climb together the 463 steps to reach the top of the most iconic dome ever! The panorama from the top of the dome is stunning, providing an overview over the entire city of Florence.
Next, we'll head down to the cathedral square and will enter the baptistery, which dates back to the 6th century and was built over ancient roman ruins.
We’ll then explore one of the most interesting museums of Florence, the OPA museum, where we'll learn about the construction of the Cathedral and the important personalities and artists who were integral to its realization.
Although not part of the tour, your entrance tickets will also give you access to climb Giotto's bell tower and enter the crypt.
