About
A country within a city, the Vatican is a must-visit on any Rome itinerary. On this tour, we’ll explore the Vatican City, which still today is its own state totally separate from Italy.
While here, we'll explore the museums, admire the impressive collection of classical statues; stunning tapestries; and ancient geographical maps, learn lots of gossip and stories about the Popes, and finally finish at the incomparable Sistine Chapel.
After the Vatican, we can walk over to St. Peter’s Basilica and visit it together (depending on availability - entrance is not guaranteed). For anyone feeling energetic, climbing the dome to enjoy the beautiful view is a treat!
Depending on the time of day, once we exit the Vatican, we can finish the tour with a stop at my favorite gelato place in all of Rome, which is right nearby. Just a few steps away, and somehow still a hidden gem, is also a delightful little restaurant that you should absolutely check out (I'll tell you more about it on the tour!).
